He died on 6 August 1919 in Melbourne.

Emma Jane HOCKING (1835-1905). Emma was born in 1835 in Millbrook. She appeared in the census in 1841 in Millbrook aged 5. The address was: South Down Factory of Soap. She married Thomas HAMMOND on 26 July 1861 in Plymouth. She died on 4 June 1905 in Walton, Liverpool.
