Ellen BRYANT, daughter of Unknown BRYANT ( - ) and Jane UNKNOWN ( - ), was born Q2 1850 in Kingsand, Cornwall. She married Edwin Elliott TOPE Q2 1874 in Stoke Damerel, Plymouth. Edwin Elliott TOPE, son of Samuel TOPE (1835- ) and Eliza ELLIOTT (1833-1887), was born in 1852 in North Huish, Devon. He appeared in the census in 1861 in Cawsand, Cornwall aged 9. HMS Northumberland 1st Class Ironclad - At anchor Gibraltar. On 3 April 1881 Edwin was a Boatswains Mate in Royal Navy aged 31. He married Sarah POLLARD Q4 1884 in Stoke Damerel. He appeared in the census on 5 April 1891 in Kingsand aged 42. The address was: Back Street. On 5 April 1891 he was a Naval Pensioner in Kingsand aged 42. He died Q4 1899 in Kingsand aged 47.
