Alice ASH (1785-1845)

Alice ASH was born in 1785. She married George COCK on 21 December 1804 in Plymouth, Devon. She appeared in the census on 7 June 1841 in Cawsand, Cornwall aged 55.1 The address was: Duck Street. She died on 25 June 1845 in Cawsand. She was buried on 29 June 1845 in Rame, Cornwall.2 Sacred to the memory of Alice the wife of George Cock of Cawsand who departed this life the 25th day of

June 1845 aged 60 years.

Her months of affliction are o’er, her days and her nights of distress We see her in anguish no more, she

has gained her happy release” Also,

George Cock, husband of the above who departed this life January 10th 1867 aged 86 years.

 

George COCK, son of George COCK (1749-1799) and Jane HAMBLY (1743-1833), was born in 1781 in Cawsand. He was baptised on 10 September 1781 in Rame.3 He appeared in the census on 7 June 1841 in Cawsand aged 60.1 The address was: Duck Street. On 7 June 1841 he was a Seaman in Cawsand aged 60.4 He was buried on 13 January 1867 in Rame.2 He died on 10 January 1876 in Cawsand. The address was: Duck Street. He and Alice ASH had the following children:

 

Nancy COCK (1805- ). Nancy was born in 1805 in Cawsand. She was baptised on 24 December 1805 in Rame.3

John COCK (1807- ). John was born in 1807 in Cawsand. He was baptised on 20 October 1807 in Rame. He was a Customs Officer.

Jane COCK (1809- ). Jane was born in 1809 in Cawsand. She was baptised on 5 January 1810 in Rame.3

George COCK (1812-1900). George was born in 1812 in Cawsand. He was baptised on 23 August 1812 in Rame.3 He married Ann HICKS on 3 November 1835 in Thanet, Kent. He died on 8 March 1900 in Rame. He was buried in 1900 in Rame.2

Micheal COCK (1822-1918). Micheal was born in 1822 in Cawsand. He was baptised on 2 June 1822 in Rame.3 He married Maria WILLEY on 5 April 1853 in Thanet. In 1871 he was a Coastguard in Brixham, Devon aged 47. He died on 1 February 1918 in Cawsand.
