Mary CLARKE ( - )

Mary CLARKE married Benjamin AVERY on 26 August 1785 in East Stonehouse, Plymouth.

 

Benjamin AVERY, son of Daniel AVERY (1731- ) and Elizabeth POLEGLASS ( - ), was born in 1762. He was baptised on 7 February 1763 in Maker, Cornwall.1 He experienced Criminal Offense on 4 April 1784 in Penzance, Cornwall. The address was: Two miles offshore. Wanted For Smuggling (Tax Offenses), Firing on Customs Officers and escape from Pendennis Castle. £100 Reward Offered. He and Mary CLARKE had the following children:

 

Benjamin AVERY (1787- ). Benjamin was born in 1787 in Kingsand, Cornwall. He was baptised on 29 July 1787 in Maker.1 He married Hannah HEDDON on 3 February 1814 in Portsea, Hampshire. On 20 March 1851 he was a Superannuated Shipwright in Kingsand aged 63. He appeared in the census on 30 March 1851 in Kingsand aged 63.2 The address was: Strand. Widower.

Daniel AVERY (1791- ). Daniel was born in 1791 in Kingsand. He was baptised on 21 August 1791 in Maker.3 He married Ann ROLLS on 38 March 1817 in Gosport, Hampshire. He appeared in the census on 30 March 1851 aged 59. He appeared in the census on 30 March 1851 in Alverstoke, Hampshire aged 59.2 The address was: 2 Lower South Street. On 30 March 1851 he was a Shipwright in Portsea aged 59.2

Richard AVERY (1791- ). Richard was born in 1791 in Kingsand. He was baptised on 21 August 1791 in Maker.1 He appeared in the census on 7 June 1841 in Kingsand aged 50.4 The address was: Cleft Piece. On 7 June 1841 he was a School Master in Kingsand aged 50.

John AVERY (1793- ). John was born in 1793 in Kingsand. He was baptised on 21 July 1793 in Maker.1 He appeared in the census on 30 March 1851 in Stepney, London aged 57.2 The address was: 44 Charles Street. On 30 March 1851 he was a Land Proprietor in Stepney aged 57.

Thomas AVERY (1795-bef1847). Thomas was born in 1795. He was baptised on 18 November 1795 in Maker.1 He died before 1847.

Sampson Coombe AVERY (1799-1882). Sampson was born in 1799 in Kingsand. He was baptised on 18 April 1799 in Maker. He appeared in the census on 7 June 1841 in Stoke Damerel, Plymouth aged 41.4 The address was: Market Street. On 7 June 1841 he was a Grocer in Stoke Damerel aged 41. He appeared in the census on 30 March 1851 in Stoke Damerel aged 52.2 The address was: 9 Market Street. He appeared in the census on 2 April 1871 in Stoke Damerel aged 72.5 The address was: 6 Ordnance Street. He appeared in the census on 3 April 1881 in Stoke Damerel aged 82.6 The address was: 25a Waterloo Street. On 3 April 1881 he was a Retired Provisions Merchant in Stoke Damerel aged 82. He died Q1 1882 in Stoke Damerel aged 82.7
