He appeared in the census on 31 March 1901 in Kingsand aged 42.2 The address was: The Cleave. On 31 March 1901 he was a Carpenter RN in Kingsand aged 42.3 On 28 May 1912 he was a Chief Carpenter RN in Royal Navy. He died on 27 October 1921 in Kingsand. He was buried on 30 October 1921 in Maker. He had his estate probated on 28 December 1921 in London. The address was: The Cleave, Kingsand. Effects £1125/4s/2d.
